What are Blind Lenses?
Blind lenses are contact lenses that cover the pupil, giving your eyes a blank, blinded look. This works perfectly for creepy, undead cosplay costumes (think zombies, ghosts, etc), and adds a fun touch of spookiness to any party outfit!
What are Mesh Lenses?
Mesh lenses, similarly to blind lenses, cover the entire eye. However, instead of being composed of a flat and even surface, they feature a mesh design that criss-crosses the natural eye with a fine netting. The look of mesh lenses is different, but don’t forget; they still cover your pupil, just as blind lenses do. Your vision will be impaired regardless.
Blind and Mesh Lenses- Key Information
These lenses, as we’ve already mentioned, cover the entirety of your pupil. This means that your vision will be completely covered and impaired for the duration of your lens wear.
PLEASE NOTE- due to these lenses blocking your vision, you MUST NOT ever wear them while driving, or doing any other activity that requires clear visibility. These gorgeous lenses are perfect for a fun, spooky photoshoot in your bedroom, but they aren’t the best lenses to wear out and about.
Why not find a pair of blind contacts and a pair of cosplay contacts in the same color, and switch them out when it’s time to party?
How do I look after my SFX Lenses?
Your special effects lenses can be cared for in the same way as any other contact lenses. You should always consult the lens packaging and follow the instructions that you see there. However, here are a few essentials you should always be aware of:

Contact lenses should always be handled with clean hands and checked for any damage or debris before being inserted into the eye.

Lenses should be stored in sterile contact cases and washed ONLY with eye-safe solution.

Before your first wear, the contact lenses must be soaked in an eye-safe solution for at least 2 hours.

No matter what your lens duration is, you should only wear contact lenses for a maximum of 8 hours at a time.

If you experience redness or irritation while wearing your contact lenses, you should check them for debris or damage. If issues persist, we recommend removing the lenses and seeking advice from your optician.
