There are plenty of different styles you could try out at a carnival from your favourite fancy dress outfit to a full plumage of festival feathers. Whatever your ideas for your carnival costumes, the main purpose is to have fun and enjoy what you are wearing. We have explored some of the most popular carnival makeup styles below, as demonstrated by our talented affiliates.
Carnival Makeup with Rhinestones
One thing that immediately comes to mind when you think of carnivals is gems, rhinestones and glitter. Create a rhinestone look around your eyes and cheeks or try your hand at glitter eye makeup. There is always the opportunity to re-use your festival makeup for carnival season!
If you want to try out a few rhinestones then why not try something like @queenofluna. Create a pattern just above your brow and create a bright colour theme. While we would only recommend using blind effect contact lenses, like those pictured, for photoshoots we do absolutely love the idea of changing your eye colour to fit your colour scheme.
If you want more full-on carnival makeup with rhinestones then take inspiration from @r.m.mua with this skull makeup style. These shimmering rhinestones are sure to pair perfectly with silver lenses. Alternatively, to make your eyes stand-out features try a contrasting colour such as purple, yellow or green.
@body_art_by_fran has used gemstones to create a mask effect around her eyes. This amazing angel style could inspire your own shaped gem pattern. Why not try a butterfly or cat shape? @body_art_by_fran is wearing our Red Halloween Contact Lenses for dramatic effect, and it just goes to show that Halloween styles can look awesome for other seasons and events too!

@makeupmadhouse has based her look on a mime. The black and white theme is tied together with our Spiral Contact Lenses. This could be great fun if you want to get into character at your next carnival. Find a monotone bodysuit or dress and paint your face with creepy clown makeup to achieve this style.
@bleedinbeauty has created an optical illusion with her makeup look. Using body paint can help you to paint on accessories rather than having to buy them. Practice before the big day with your carnival makeup palette to make yourself a bow tie and clown nose. The Spiral Contact Lenses are a popular choice for scary carnival makeup.
@margo.horror_beauty has opted for a skull style paired with a floral headdress. Her face paint style perfectly frames her face and the Red Halloween Contact Lenses are a great colour for bringing attention to the eyes.
